Juice Talk-30th May 2015 Dubai

My Story
When I was 19 years old I was diagnosed with hashimoto's graves disease which is an autoimmune condition where your own immune system starts attacking your thyroid gland and you begin to produce too much thyroxine. My symptoms were so severe that I had to take time away from my University studies to regain some of my self back again and try to heal. I had always been a sporty child with a passion for life and full of energy but within around 6 months after being diagnosed I gained a tremendous amount of weight and lost a great deal of self-esteem as I sank into deep depression and lost my vitality for life. My hands were constantly tremouring, my heart was beating so fast that I could have had a heart attack at any moment, I was also out of breath due to my erratic heart beats, my hair became brittle and was slowly falling out, I was told my bones were thinning and I had a good chance of developing osteoporosis, I had no energy and I slept most of the time, my skin was all cracked and began to thin. My whole body was literally shutting down on me and I had no idea what to do. I wasn't myself anymore. Then I began putting weight on which I never thought would ever happen to me as I always loved being so active. I was living on a diet of McDonalds, takeaways, pizza, sodas, chocolate, crisps, high fat greasy food, I don’t think any vegetables had been anywhere near me for years and I was miserable, severely depressed, exhausted, had acne, digestive problems and was overweight. Not only was my condition killing me but so was the food I was eating. I was a mess! I just didn't know how I was going to get myself well again. So I would like to call it fate because one day I randomly found a health book on my parents' book shelf that was called, 'Foods that harm and Foods that heal' and I became curious. What is this book about? So I opened the book and 15 years later I am still hooked learning more and more about food everyday and it has now become my passion! I finally realised the reason I became sick was because of the food (I should say 'chemicals') that I was putting into my body and I needed to change the way I was eating. What I began to learn is, food affects everything. How much energy we have, the health of your skin, your mood, your hormones, your weight, cancers, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and the list goes on. So I became fascinated by food and how eating the correct diet really does heal the body. Now, let me tell you I have tried lots of diets and I have spent years experimenting with different ways of eating, noticing their effects and looking for the best ones that work well for me and it has been a very slow process. I have lived off high protein diets, consisting of nothing but lots of dairy and meat, I have tried to live off just fruit, I have tried counting my calories and portion control, I have tried the weight watchers diet, and as a personal trainer I tried eating a lot of high protein bars (which are loaded with chemicals) and taking lots of protein shakes, I even tried taking fat burners and slimming pills but nothing was working. I remained the same weight, had low energy, my skin was bloated and puffy, I had cellulite, was tired and lethargic. I just didn't understand how I could shift the weight, feel good AND look good at the same time.(oh and I was exercising a lot too and my weight still didn't go down) I then began studying the raw food diet and juicing. This is when my new food journey began and I finally became the girl I used to be before I got sick. I admit, I am addicted to feeling good. I love it and I never want to go back to being sick ever again. I am so passioante about helping people feel and look amazing because I don't want anyone to suffer the way I did. I want to teach you everything I know so you can be full of life, oozing vitality through your pores. However, it is a slow process and nothing comes easy over night, you have to really want to change and commit but as soon as you take the bad food out of your body and replace it with the good stuff I promise you, your life will change and you will become hooked on how good you feel. You will not only lose weight but you will start to glow, lines may begin to disappear off your face, bloating vanishes, even issues like arthritis, eczema, dermatitis and so much more can all begin to fade. There are so many amazing reasons to start.

Inner Guidance
One of the hardest things in life for some of us, is listening to that inner guide inside, pushing us to do something which is absolutely terrifying and completely out of our comfort zones. A lot of people push that voice away because well, it's just too dam scary! We try and shut it off and ignore it. It's asking to much! Yet the more we push it away, the more we become frustrated and unhappy. We are scared that if we listen to it we might lose what we currently have, but is what we currently have making us truly happy? Why should we just settle? We stay with comfortable because it's easy and if we listen to what our heart is telling us we start to freak out because it's telling us to do something radical and crazy. We are afraid! This quiet voice is trying to nudge us in the right direction and yet we often push it away! Fear is something we learn. We are not born with it. We need to overcome it! We need to follow our truth and stop letting other people interfere with our lives. They don't know what is right for us, only we do! We were all born to lead magnificent lives and should not be left feeling trapped. Trapped in life!Freedom is what happens when you listen to your inner voice! How wonderful would our lives be if we just started listening to ourselves. We should all be living the life we dream off. That dream is put in our hearts for a reason and we should let nothing stand in our way! Not even FEAR! So follow your heart, you know what's right. Take that risk and just BELIEVE in yourself.
